I wasn't nearly as bothered by how April changed because it makes sense for a character to become jaded after 10 years, but it feels like Zoë just got morphed into a different person entirely.About This Game The Final Cut is the remastered special edition of Dreamfall Chapters - an award-winning adventure spanning multiple worlds and playable characters. I guess I'm just a little disappointed because I had found Zoë to be extremely relatable when I started up Dreamfall: The Longest Journey but I can't identify with her as much anymore. Her voice acting plays it into it as well, Zoë used to sound quite mellow but now she doesn't sound like it at all.īy far the worst thing though is when we're told that Olivia is presumably dead in the previous game we saw Zoë literally go to the four corners of the world to find Reza (and then decide to continue his mission when she thinks he has died), but Olivia who was just as much one of her CHILDHOOD BEST FRIEND barely gets a passing mention. I started up Dreamfall: Chapters and played up to the first few chapters and I gotta say a few elements left a bad taste in my mouth, most notably how Zoë feels like a totally different character.įor one, she's become very sassy when commenting on anything, way more than even April was in the first game, and they made her also very quirky for some reason, I honestly couldn't stand reading her diary after the therapist scene. I finished The Longest Journey and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey recently and very much enjoyed both games, especially the characters. (Minor spoilers for the two Dreamfall games) That's it!
